With the invitation from the Tourism Board of North Sumatra, I had the fortunate opportunity to attend the the Flower and Agriculture Festival of Karo Regency. The rolling highlands of Karo grow fruits, vegetables, corn, coffee, and tea for Indonesia and the world. You might have had some Karo Coffee if you visited a certain world famous Seattle cafe recently.

The seven regencies surrounding Lake Toba all boast unique cultures, languages, arts and crafts. But they all work together continuously for the prosperity of the whole region.
